Ganja Memorial Complex is a memorial located in the city of Ganja, dedicated to documenting the war crimes committed by the Armenian armed forces against civilians during the Second Karabakh War. The complex was built on the site where residential buildings and a public park were destroyed by missile strikes.
The foundation of the complex was laid on January 30, 2022, and it was officially inaugurated on September 27, 2025 — the Day of Remembrance.
In October 2020, during the Second Karabakh War, the city of Ganja was hit by five missile strikes launched by the Armenian military. As a result, 27 civilians were killed and 125 were wounded. Numerous buildings were damaged or destroyed, and large craters formed at the impact sites.
The total area of the complex is 4 hectares. Its spiral architectural form symbolizes the crater left by the missile explosion. The depth of this spiral-shaped crater is 13 meters. The remains of destroyed buildings are preserved in the open area as special art installations.
The crescent-shaped two-story building, covering 2,400 square meters, houses a museum exhibition on the first floor and a multifunctional hall for seminars, training sessions, and events on the second floor.
The museum exhibition includes thematic sections such as:
“Early 20th Century”
“Deportation and Forced Displacement”
“Genocide and Mass Killings”
“Ceasefire Period and the Patriotic War”
“Missing Persons, Mass Graves, Landmine Terror”
“Towards a Bright Future”.
Landscaping work is planned for the surrounding park, including the planting of around 700 trees and more than 12,000 decorative shrubs and flowers.
