A human being is always in search of love. When they find it, they rejoice and feel happy. But when love falls apart, they grieve and suffer. Sadly, the love we long for throughout our lives often ends up bringing tears.

The protagonists of the play have already lived half of their lives, yet they are still searching for the love they never reached. They have families, and some even have grown-up children. But there is no love… There is work, career, respect in society — even envy from those around them. But still, there is no love.

No amount of respect or material comfort can replace love. They realize that love brings tears, yet they keep searching for it, striving toward it. And in this pursuit, families fall apart, and tragedies unfold.

The owl usually appears among ruins — or, as in ancient times, is said to bring misfortune. This suggests that the place where the story unfolds may one day turn into ruins as well.

The stage adaptation and direction of the play are by Bahram Osmanov, Honored Art Worker of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kalmykia.
