Leyla, abandoned by her parents' indifferent attitude, grows weary of family conflicts. After her mother's death, she seeks a job to support her father. However, every workplace turns into an emotional shock for her. Eventually, after receiving a higher education and becoming a lawyer, she attempts to defend women's rights. During this time, a powerful official becomes infatuated with her, and their love story ends in tragedy.

Thus, Leyla fails to withstand life's trials, suffers psychological breakdowns, and ends up in a psychiatric facility. The dramatic events of the play unfold within the psychiatric facility based on Leyla's memories.

The play carries a societal message: no matter where a person is, if they are not free, their right to life has been taken away. Only a free person, especially a free woman, can feel happy because of what they have.
