The play tells the tragic story of Mikayil Mushfig, a poet who fell victim to the repressions of 1937, focusing on his unfulfilled life, unfinished works, and destroyed love.
Although the play centers around the tragic fate of Mikayil Mushfig and his wife Dilber Akhundzade, it also brings to life the shattered destinies of thousands of others who suffered under the repression.
The hostile attitude of his fellow writers, Mushfig’s confessions, and his torment under the weight of his own tragedy vividly portray the horrific reality of those bloody years.
The director of the play is People’s Artist Azer Pasha Nematov.
