On December 4 at 19:00, Sanat Art Center invites all lovers of live music to a unique concert, “Jazz-Mugham” — a creative project that unites ancient Eastern traditions with the freedom of modern jazz.
It will be an evening where improvisation, virtuosity, and deep emotion merge into a single musical breath.

On stage, you will see outstanding musicians from Azerbaijan and France, each a master of their craft with a distinctive personal style:

Etibar Asadli — a renowned Azerbaijani pianist, composer, and arranger who lives between Paris and Baku. His art bridges East and West. Etibar blends mugham, jazz, folk, and classical music in his compositions, creating a deep and emotional sound. He has collaborated with international artists and performed on prestigious European stages, attracting both jazz connoisseurs and lovers of world music.

Ilkin Dovlatov — one of the most powerful and expressive vocalists of Azerbaijan, representing the new generation of mugham performers. His voice combines traditional Eastern intonation with modern jazz phrasing. Ilkin is known for his strong, heartfelt performances, where every note carries emotion and meaning.

Ruslan Huseynov — an acclaimed bass guitarist, participant in numerous international festivals and projects. His style strikes a balance between technical mastery, musical taste, and emotional delivery. Ruslan has collaborated with many leading Azerbaijani and international artists, while his rhythmic precision and warm tone provide a solid foundation for onstage improvisation.

Martin Wangermée (France) — a talented French drummer and percussionist, well-known on the European jazz scene. His performance combines academic precision with vibrant expression. Martin has the rare ability to truly “listen” to his fellow musicians, turning every concert into a living dialogue of rhythms and energies.

That evening, you will hear how ancient Azerbaijani melodies come alive through the sound of modern jazz.
The “Jazz-Mugham” concert is not just a musical event — it is a genuine cultural dialogue, where tradition meets modernity, and East meets West.
