The music group “East or West” was founded in 2011 by the group’s director and kamancha player, Ilkhas Mammadov.
The aim of the group is to perform on national instruments (tar, kamancha, and accordion) in Western musical styles to spark young people’s interest in these instruments and to promote them internationally. We strive to prove that our traditional instruments meet global standards.
15 years later — the second concert at the Musical Theatre.
A two-part performance: World hits in a national spirit.
